Condition of Education (COE)
For four consecutive years, Hager Sharp has supported the Institute of Education Sciences' National Center for Education Statistics for the release of the Condition of Education (COE), a congressionally mandated report that provides an annual statistical portrait of education in the United States.
The report covers all aspects of education, from student achievement to school environment, and all levels from early childhood through postsecondary education.
A significant challenge is that, in most cases, the data has been released elsewhere before it appears in COE. Each year, we work closely with NCES to shape a trend story or highlight interesting data that media and educators will find newsworthy. The client said that we "took a report that, frankly, didn't have a lot of breaking news in it and delivered far beyond expectations."
