Hager Sharp’s Holiday Gift to the Children’s Law Center

Hager Sharp staff and interns donated 40 gifts cards, worth over $650, to the Children’s Law Center’s Holiday Hope Drive. The Children’s Law Center is the only organization that provides comprehensive free legal representation to at-risk children and families in the District of Columbia.  The firm learned about the Children’s Law Center through Washington Women in Public Relations (WWPR), which took on that organization as its 2010-2011 pro bono client. WWPR recently honored Debra Silimeo, Senior Vice President of Hager Sharp Inc. as the “Washington PR Woman of the Year.”  

Hager Sharp Account Supervisor, Kim Varner, and Account Executive, Christy Bennett presented Judith Sandalow, Executive Director of the Children’s Law Center with the Target and Macy’s gift cards, which will be given to 40 teenagers in need of some holiday cheer. In addition, the firm gave the law center Best Bones Forever! materials for the almost 100 girls, ages 9-14 who are in the Holiday Hope Drive program. Best Bones Forever! is a national bone health campaign for girls and one of the ways Hager Sharp supports the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health.
